- Carefully check the plastic vent valve on the float to ensure integrity; clean or replace it if necessary
- Once the package is opened, insert the nozzle of the new inner tube into the float's hole, wrapping it around the edge like a bicycle tire
- Connect the rubber hose from the pump to the inner tube's nozzle and secure it with clamps to prevent leaks
- Inflate the inner tube until reaching the "green" zone on the pump's gauge
- Secure the retrieval cord before placing the float in the container
