How to best use your pot
- First use: carefully clean the pot, rinse it with boiling water, dry it, and grease the inside with a bit of oil or butter. Let it rest for a few hours before the first use.
- Perfect cooking: thanks to the high thermal conductivity, food cooks better and retains all its flavor over moderate heat. There is never a need to use high flames.
- Adding salt: add salt only during boiling to promote its dissolution and protect the metal.
- Food storage: do not use the pot to store food outside of refrigeration for more than 24 hours.
- Acidic and salty foods: you can perfectly cook strongly acidic foods in aluminum with purity over 99%, without worries.
Maintenance and care
Avoid overheating: never heat the pot empty over a flame, whether high or low. Warning: the pot becomes very hot during use.
The dark patina that forms inside is due to the natural oxidation of the metal and represents a true inert protective barrier: it should not be removed. To keep the pots shining externally, use specific products for aluminum.
