How to Use the Filter Pads:
Wine filtration occurs in multiple stages, using pads with different filtration grades:
- Grade 0-4 (Rough Filtration): First step after fermentation. They retain the larger suspended particles for effective pre-filtration.
- Grade 8-12-16 (Polishing): Recommended second step. They capture smaller particles and give the wine good brightness and transparency.
- Grade 20-24 (Sterilization): Final step for maximum clarity. They remove residual micro-impurities. Use only after filtering the wine with 8-12-16 pads.
