The success of filtration depends on choosing the right card. Here’s how to navigate:
- Grade 0-4: Ideal for the first filtration after fermentation. They retain the coarser particles in suspension, preparing your wine for the subsequent steps.
- Grade 8-12-16: The perfect intermediate step. They retain finer particles and give a good shine to the wine. Recommended as the second step of filtration.
- Grade 20-24: The final finishing. They eliminate micro-impurities for a perfectly transparent and brilliant wine. Use exclusively after at least one initial filtration with cards 8-12-16.
