The success of filtration depends on choosing the right pad. Here's how to choose:
- Grade 0-4: Ideal for the first filtration after fermentation. They retain the coarsest suspended particles, preparing your wine for subsequent steps.
- Grade 8-12-16: The perfect intermediate step. They retain finer particles and give the wine a good shine. Recommended as the second step of filtration.
- Grade 20-24: The final refinement. They eliminate micro-impurities for a perfectly transparent and brilliant wine. Use exclusively after at least one initial filtration with 8-12-16 pads.
