These V8 pads (range 8-12-16) are ideal as the second filtration step. After the first filtration with coarser grade pads (0-4), the V8 layers retain smaller particles, giving the wine a splendid shine and transparency, perfectly preparing it for a possible third refinement step.
Complete guide to filtration grades:
- 0-4: First step - remove large suspended particles after fermentation
- 8-12-16: Second step - retain small particles and add shine to the wine (your pad falls into this category)
- 20-24: Third step - remove micro-impurities for a final polish (to be used only after filtration with V8)

- Always wet the pads with water or already polished product before insertion
