How to use filtering cards for optimal filtration:
Grade 0-4 (Coarse Filtration):
Ideal for the first filtration after fermentation. They capture the larger suspended particles, preparing the wine for subsequent steps. Perfect as the first roughing step, although they do not guarantee a brilliant finish on their own.
Grades 8-12-16 (Intermediate Filtration):
Your ally for the second pass! They capture smaller particles and provide a good initial shine to the wine. They represent the crucial intermediate step between roughing and final polishing.
Grades 20-24 (Polishing Filtration):
They eliminate micro-impurities in suspension, giving the wine its characteristic brilliance and captivating clarity. Use exclusively after having already filtered the wine at least once with 8-12-16 grade cards.
