Description
Create your India Pale Ale like the great English master brewers! With the Coopers "Indian Pale Ale" malt kit, you can produce 23 liters of an authentically bitter and refreshing beer, characterized by an intriguing dark amber color and a well-structured medium body.
The story of a legend: The IPA originated from a brilliant insight back in the 1700s when English brewers had to ensure the preservation of their beers during long journeys to India. They increased the alcohol and hop content of traditional "Bitters", thus creating an extraordinary beer: fresh, bold, and marked by a distinct bitterness that still fascinates craft beer enthusiasts today.
Package contents: A can of Coopers malt complete with a sachet of quality dry yeast, everything you need to start your brewing adventure.
Instructions for use:
- Thoroughly wash and sterilize all equipment
- Remove the yeast sachet from under the plastic cap and immerse it in warm water for 10 minutes to make the extract inside more fluid
- Dissolve the contents of the can and 1 kg of sugar in 3 liters of warm water in the fermenter, carefully recovering all the remaining mixture from the can
- Add 17 liters of room temperature water and mix well
- Add about 2.5 liters of hot or cold water to bring the temperature between 21-27°C and reach a total volume of 23 liters
- Sprinkle the yeast and close the fermenter with the lid equipped with an airlock, filling the latter halfway with boiled and cooled water
- Maintain the indicated temperature until a density of about 1006 is reached
- After 4-7 days, when the density remains constant for 24 consecutive hours, transfer to sterilized quality bottles, adding 8 grams/liter of sugar for bottle fermentation
- Keep the bottles upright for at least two weeks; after another two weeks, you can taste your beer, which will continue to improve with aging for up to 6 months
- Serve at 12°C to best appreciate the aromas and characteristic bitterness of the IPA
