You will produce 23 liters of extraordinary beer with a characteristic amber color and a medium-full body reminiscent of historic English beers. This is the true English-style Bitter, originally created to withstand long journeys to New Zealand. The result? A rich, full-bodied, and moderately bitter taste that will delight the most discerning palates.
What you will find in the package:
- Premium Coopers English Bitter malt
- One packet of dry yeast included
Brewing instructions:
- Thoroughly wash and sterilize all equipment
- Remove the yeast packet from under the plastic cap of the malt can and soak it in hot water for 10 minutes to make the extract more fluid
- Dissolve the contents of the can and 1 kg of sugar in 3 liters of hot water in the fermenter, recovering all the remaining mixture inside the can
- Add 17 liters of room temperature water and mix well
- Add about 2.5 liters of hot or cold water to bring the temperature between 21-27°C and achieve the final volume of 23 liters
- Sprinkle the yeast from the packet and seal the fermenter with the lid equipped with an airlock, filling the latter halfway with boiled and cooled water
- Maintain the indicated temperature until a density of about 1006 is reached
- After about 4-7 days, when the density remains constant for 24 hours, transfer to well-sterilized quality bottles, adding 8 grams/liter of sugar necessary for bottle fermentation
- Keep the bottles upright for at least two weeks. After another two weeks, you can taste the beer, which will continue to improve with aging for up to 6 months
- Serve at 12°C to enhance all aromas and flavors
