In this configuration, the head is provided as a complete assembly: body, input shaft/pinion, rotation supports, and sealing components are already matched to each other, thus restoring alignment and smoothness without having to rebuild the head piece by piece. The practical advantage of a complete head, in forestry applications, is that it also resolves "collateral" wear that often isn’t immediately visible: bearings that have become loose, worn seats, seals that no longer hold and allow grease to escape or dirt to enter. When this happens, typical symptoms are increasing noise, a heating head, vibrations, and less stable cutting because the rotation is no longer uniform. By replacing the complete assembly, you start with a more centered group, with restored sealing and a more regular final transmission.
