How do I know if an air or oil float is suitable for my tank?
How do I know if an air or oil float is suitable for my tank?
Our floats, whether air or oil, available on the site are built and designed for the diameters and Marchisio tanks present on this site. However, it is possible to adapt them to other tanks provided that the internal diameter of the barrel is carefully checked.
As in the adjacent image, we take as an example the tank (fig. A) with a hypothetical internal diameter of 790 mm, subtract 20 mm (the minimum space necessary to allow the air chamber to inflate and adhere well to the tank) and find the effective diameter of the float (fig. B) to be used inside it (in this case 770 mm, product reference GPC80).
Our recommendation is also not to exceed 30 mm of space between the float and the tank to still allow the air chamber to perform its function.
