Merlett
Merlett Tecnoplastic is an Italian company founded in 1952 by brothers Ariberto and Giancarlo Tamborini in Daverio, in the province of Varese. Specializing in the production of flexible hoses made from thermoplastic materials, particularly PVC, it has grown over time from a small operation with 6 employees to become one of the leading producers in Europe in the sector. Its products are intended for technical and industrial sectors, agriculture, boating, construction, transportation, and food, with over 70% of revenue generated from foreign markets. The company has three production facilities — in Daverio, Varano Borghi, and Rancate in Canton Ticino — and twelve foreign subsidiaries, totaling approximately 510 employees. In 2019, to ensure continuity and global development, Merlett was acquired by the German multinational Continental, now operating as part of the ContiTech division. With over 70 years of history, Merlett is synonymous with quality, innovation, and flexibility in the industrial hose sector.
